A book about new arrivals. This little girl’s mammy has a rather big tummy, and she’s got a few questions about what could possibly be in there. Could it be a dinosaur, a hippopotamus, or a cheeky monkey? One thing’s for sure, it’s something very special…

I love that when children read this story, the know EXACTLY what’s in Mam’s tummy. Children love to be in on the joke, and it’s so satisfying that they know more than the main character.

This book was so memorable because at the time, my art director was expecting her own special something, so working on this one felt incredibly magical.

It was published a few times with different covers.

Written and Illustrated by Jan Fearnley.
